How long will you take to reply?

During the week I'm often coordinating designs alongside upcoming bookings, so replies can take a little time. Tuesdays are my admin day, and I aim to have caught up with everyone — across Instagram, Facebook, email and Fresha — by then at the latest.

If it's gone past Tuesday, please don't be shy about sending a gentle follow-up. I'm one person doing all of this myself, and things can occasionally slip through — a message marked read by accident, or a particularly busy week. A nudge is always welcome and never annoying.

Where's the best place to get in touch?

For general enquiries, Instagram is best — it's where I have the biggest following and where I'm most active. For anything related to an upcoming booking, email or Fresha is the way to go. If you already have a booking with me, please pop your name in the subject line to match your booking — it helps me stay organised and find your email quickly!

​What is fine line tattooing?
Delicate, thin-line work. Less traditional bold tattooing, more drawing on skin. It suits small, detailed pieces — script, florals, stars, minimal linework. Because the lines are so fine, precision and placement matter enormously, which is why I take my time.

 

What colours do you work in?
Black and red.

 

Do fine line tattoos fade faster?
They can soften more than heavy traditional work — thinner lines mean less pigment in the skin. Placement matters too. Sun exposure is the biggest factor of all. Good aftercare and sunscreen make a real difference.

 

Does it hurt?
Generally more scratchy than painful, though it depends on placement. I don't offer numbing for fine line work, but the pieces are usually small enough that it's over quickly, and we can break whenever you need.

 

Can I bring my own design?
Please do. Send a description, reference images or inspo, and your placement and approximate size in cm — through Fresha chat or email. Email keeps image quality intact for detailed designs. The more detail the better.

 

When will I see my design?
Generally 1–2 days before your appointment. Small adjustments can be requested by email before the day. Minor tweaks are possible on the day, but major revisions may require rescheduling or an additional design fee.

 

Are there places you won't tattoo?
Yes.
High-risk, discuss before booking: hands, fingers, collarbone, ankles — higher risk of fading or blurring.
Areas I don't tattoo, no exceptions: palms, sides of fingers, behind the ears, neck, feet, inner lip, armpits.

 

Can you tattoo over scars or stretch marks?
Sometimes, depending on how healed and textured the area is. Send me a photo and I'll let you know honestly.

 

Do you do test patches?
Yes, and I recommend them. Message me through Fresha to organise one — it needs to be at least 48 hours before your appointment to allow a full observation period. If you'd rather skip it, there's a short waiver in your form.

What is cosmetic tattooing?
Semi-permanent makeup. Pigment is placed into the upper layers of the skin, adding soft colour and shape to your brows. It sits shallower than a traditional tattoo, so it looks natural and fades gradually rather than staying sharp forever.

 

What styles do you offer?
Ombré powder and combination brows. Ombré powder gives a soft gradient — lighter at the front, deeper through the tail. Combination blends fine hair strokes through the front with powder shading behind, for a bit more texture. We'll work out what suits your face and skin at your appointment.

 

How long does it take?
Your initial appointment runs three hours — consultation, mapping, shaping, and the tattoo itself. Your touch-up is an hour and a half.

 

Do I need a touch-up?
Yes. Brows heal in stages and there's almost always refining to do once the skin settles. Your touch-up is charged separately, with a lower rate if it's booked 4–8 weeks after and a higher rate at 8–10 weeks. It's part of the process, not a fix for something going wrong.

 

Is numbing used?
Yes, and you'll need to organise your own. You'll purchase two compounded creams (L1 and L2) ahead of your appointment — these have to be made up specifically for you by a pharmacist, and I can't supply or hold them on your behalf. Full details are on the brow care page. Numbing is optional; let me know on your form either way.

 

What will they look like straight after?
Bolder and darker than the final result — around 30–40% more intense for the first few days. Redness settles within a day or two. They'll feel like mild sunburn for a few hours, then get itchy as they heal. Normal, and a good sign. Don't pick.

 

How long do they last?
Generally 12–36 months, depending on your skin, lifestyle, and sun exposure. Most people come back for a colour refresh every 12–24 months.

 

What makes them fade faster?
Sun exposure is the biggest one. Oily skin, active skincare (retinol, acids, exfoliants), and lighter pigment choices all speed things up. Excess bleeding during the appointment also affects retention — which is why alcohol and caffeine beforehand aren't ideal.

How do I book?
Everything's through Fresha. If you'd rather chat first, get in touch and we'll go from there.

Is there a deposit?
Yes, and it scales with the size of the piece — you'll see the amount when you book. It comes off your total on the day. Deposits are non-refundable, but transferable once with 72 hours' notice. Full detail is in the Booking & Deposit Policy.

 

What if I need to change my appointment?
Give at least 72 hours' notice and your deposit can transfer once. Less than that and it's forfeited. See the Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy.

 

How old do I have to be?
18+, with valid government-issued photo ID on the day. No exceptions.

 

Is there anything that would stop me being tattooed?
Yes — if you're pregnant or breastfeeding, taking blood thinners or Roaccutane, unwell on the day, or have an active skin infection or cold sore in the area. If you're unsure, check with your doctor or ask me.

 

Where are you?
North Beach Shopping Centre, inside Skin Sculpt Studio. It comes up on maps, it's a small centre with only a handful of shops, and there's plenty of parking around. Easy to find.

 

Can I bring someone?
I work from a private room with limited space and this work needs full focus, so please come in alone. Anyone with you is welcome to wait in the reception area. No children or babies, sorry.
